We, Caroline and Louis Henrotin, are very happy to welcome you in “les Sciernes d’Albeuve”, a scenic village which lies in a national park between Gruyère and Gstaad. The village consists of 120 inhabitants, and the panoramic train “MOB” which operates between Montreux and Zweisimmen stops here as well.
There are manifold activities to do, whether you visit us in winter or summer. Louis can tell you everything about the sports most popular in our region like skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, rafting, paragliding and much much more! Caroline will inform you about other possible journeys to discover the region: you can visit Gruyère, a chocolate or cheese factory, hot springs, several museums, swimming pools. You can also go fishing or minigolfing; there is something for everyone really!
Our kids Max (9) and Igor (5) are happy to share their toys with your kids and you can borrow our bikes if you wish to. In winter, you can also rent snowshoes with us.
On our breakfast buffet you will discover regional delicacies as well as well as home-made surprises from Caroline.
The terrace and all the rooms have a magnificent view on the Prealps. We provide a small living room where you will find books, DVDs and videos, as well as a large dining room where you can prepare your own meals.
In total we are able to accommodate 18 people.
You have access to a free w-lan hotspot everywhere in the house!

We do not have a restaurant in our house yet, but if you tell us in advance we will be very happy to prepare a traditional cheese “fondue” for you (20 chf/pers)! We can also reserve one of the different restaurants in our region for you:
- The “Restaurant des Préalpes” (200 m) is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, call 026 928 11 52
- The « Restaurant de l'Ange » in Albeuve (Route de l'Intyamon 3) is closed on Mondays, call 026 928 11 13
- The « Restaurant de la couronne » in Lessoc is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, call 026 928 23 98
- The « Restaurant du Lion d'Or » in Neirivue, call 026 928 11 05
- The « Restaurant de la Croix de Fer » in Allières, call 026 928 16 06
- The « Restaurant des Montagnards » in Estavannens (route de la Poya 23) is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, call 026 921 19 19
- The « Restaurant de la gare » in Montbovon is closed on Tuesdays since 2 pm and on Wednesdays
Alternatively, we provide you with everything you need in order to prepare your own meals: you will find a small refrigerator, cooking plate, a microwave as well as plates and cutlery in our dining room.

There are two snowshoe trails starting from our village which are also illuminated by night:
- « La Cerniat » (1h15, ideal for children)
- « Les prés d'Albeuve » (2h30)
We have 7 pairs of snowshoes which you reserve, the prices are as follows:

Walking sticks are provided by the society of the village.

Dear Guests,
Welcome in our Bed and Breakfast.
Various tourist information about our region is available in our bar. Feel free to ask us if you have any further questions; we are glad if we can help, for example by providing you with maps oft he regions etc.
A refrigerator (near the piano), mini oven (in the cupboard), a cooktop, pots and a microwave are available for cooking in the bar, as well as plates, cutlery,….Everything you need to clean up, you will find under the sink. Feel free to help yourself!
In order to preserve our environment, we won’t daily change your linens. Please let us know when to change the linens and /or to clean your room with the availiable signs.
Postcards are sold in the corridor on the ground floor and stamps are also available; just let me know what you took when you check out. All frames of reproductions from the region are also for sale with or without the frame.
Free WiFi access is available .
A lounge with a magnificent view of the Prealpscan be found on the second floor where, you can watch TV, videos and DVDs.In this room you will also find a library where you can exchange books on agreement.

Special offers for hikers and families: reduction of 5 Chf per person if you bring your own sheets or sleeping bags.

On weekends and during holidays, we give priority to stays of at least 2 nights; otherwise an additional 10fr/pers may be requested.
We have no card machine, and thus only accept cash. Thank you for your understanding.
For us to arrange cleaning between each visit, you can check in between 5.00 pm and 7.30 pm. Thank you for vacating your room by 10 am on the day of your departure.
Afterwards, you may use the lounge and bar and we can take care of your luggage.

The objectives are to develop positive attitudes with food, to encourage curiosity, to discover the 5 tastes, to diversify the food and to learn how to vary the tastes.
